Such is Guru’s love and love for Guru!

My humble pranams at the beloved feet of my Guru!

A very beautiful instance happened today which made me realize the purpose and significance of life. It was a very strong and over-whelming feeling more than anything!

I live in the US and am always saddened about how many earth miles away I am from my Guru and that I can’t go see Him, meet Him, and be in His physical presence more often. I came to the US  2 years ago. As against one’s (including my own) expectations, I wasn’t enveloped and carried away by the comforts and leisure of this first world country. I did not sway from my devotion for my guru. I would hate parting from him every time I visited India. Yet, I stayed in the US, as that was His command.

Today, while sitting in a café I heard the song “bas tum hi ho” playing in the background. This was the song I would sing for Swamiji in his Darbaar. My eyes brimmed with tears of love for Swamiji and at my misfortune that I’m so very far from Him. I realized in that moment that all the happiness I have ever felt in my life can never even come close to the feeling of bliss I feel at His feet. We waste our entire lives trying to build a name in this temporary world, a world of illusions where everything built is a mound of sand, blown away with passing time. Instead, we should spend this gifted birth in service of our lord. Our hearts should be overflowing with love for our Guru and not with pride for our materialistic possessions because they are nothing but temporary.

The only permanent solution to any of life’s distressing situations is surrender at the loving feet of Swamiji. Tears shed in His memory are more precious than a thousand smiles. A life lived with your Guru is like living in heaven on earth. I feel honored and proud to be worthy of Swamji’s grace. I doubt there is anyone as selfless and pure as our Swamiji. There isn’t a person who has gone empty-handed from Swamiji’s darbar, there isn’t a person whose eyes haven’t brimmed with tears of pure love by a mere look at our divine mother. To Him who protects us like the eyelids protect the eyes, I offer my humble salutations!

At an age, when I did not even know that there is someone called ‘God’, I first met our Guru – Ajai Swamy ji. It was at the young age of 4, when I first saw Swamy ji. I, of course, do not remember those first few meetings with Him, until I grew up gradually realizing who He actually is.

As time passed, the experiences of meeting Him nurtured a refreshed sense of goodness and harmony within me. I started realizing – how important it is, just to be good in our lives; how important it is, not to hurt any living being, and to just keep performing one’s duties. Everyone tries to learn from what has been taught by their parents & elders. But, our family is blessed and fortunate enough to have had Swamy ji’s blessings and support as well, all through.

Many people in the world still do not believe in God. In real sense, what is God? He has many forms. Which form do you want to consider as Real God? After hearing Swamy ji’s preachings, I developed a strong belief that God exists, but not in temples or churches; He is within you. I believe that the purity and goodness you bring within yourself would connect you with God within you!

His preachings about goodness, and the stories that He used to narrate of His own experiences have always inspired and enlightened us much. Because, they are not class-room type lectures; they are something that bring out the hidden light within us. I enjoy sitting for hours, listening to His experiences about life, and apply them in my life, so that the mistakes we do knowingly or unknowingly are not repeated. Whenever Swamy ji talks to us, I pray for that moment to never end! I forget all pains and worries when I sit in front of Him. There is something about Him, His aura, that does not let me take my eyes off Him. Some negative thoughts, which creep into my mind sometimes, disappear when I am in front of Him. This is the divine feeling which I get in His company.

I feel, I did some really good KARMAS in the past, that I got this opportunity to meet God in His form. His talks had always had an impact on our day-to-day life in some or the other way & that have always inspired and helped me to be a better version of me. His assurances to me during my failures in life, gave me a hope that there is another door opening somewhere for me. Through His nectarine talks, He has cultivated patience, goodness and positive attitude in life, in me. I feel I am very fortunate, and I pledge to myself to follow and practise each and every preaching He has given us and also, to strive hard to teach the next generation about the same.

Swamy ji ! You are not just a Guru; You are a feeling of hope, positivity and the quintessential meaning of life. We love you!!

AJAY SWAMY JI – He came into our lives as a ‘Living God’. I was a child, when I first got the opportunity to see Him. Although I did not know the real meaning of “GURU” at that time, I eventually got to know how blessed I am. It was the biggest opportunity of my life – to have the blessings of a “GURU” from such a young age.

He narrates mythological stories and anecdotes that carry messages which one can relate to in their real lives and learn from. He would suggest powerful mantras to chant so as to lead a peaceful life that is free of negative energies.

He likes listening to devotional BHAJANS and we (our family members) enjoy singing for Him. That is the time when we completely dedicate ourselves to GOD. On one such occasion, He told us that He saw Sri Shirdi Sai Baba putting VIBHUDI on the forehead of one of the devotees (also called as BHAKTS by Him). On one other occasion, He saw Sri Hanuman Ji dancing to the tunes of one of our bhajans. We felt inexplicably blessed to hear that GOD himself was present in the same room where we were singing BHAJANS. After this incident, we never missed any chance of singing in his darbaar, to make our GURU and GOD happy.

It is this staunch faith in Him which helped me take some of the most important decisions in my life – Be it about education, getting into a job and even marriage. I feel extremely happy for my little daughter who is lucky to have His blessings right from her birth. He has always supported us and showered abundant blessings on us and our extended families. Each one of us has seen growth and only growth in our lives.

He never expects anything from his devotees. The only motive of his life is to motivate us to follow the right path and make us have unshakable faith in GOD. His only expectation from us is – to be a good and truthful human being.

He preaches us to treat animals (and all living beings) at the same level as human beings. Someone may kill an animal but the one who eats it is to be blamed equally. He warns us to not get into any bad habits and also tells us to spread this message. I feel good when I share his messages with my fellow colleagues and will continue doing so.

I, myself, will follow His teachings throughout my life and will try my best to bring awareness amongst the younger generation. I pray that I am always connected to Him, and that I get more opportunities to sing Bhajans and listen to His preachings.

It gives me immense pleasure to share my feelings about my Guru – Shri Ajay Swami ji.

Let me begin with a thought provoking irony of the life. People of this generation believe that there is “THE GOD” but fail to accept or believe, when they listen to any sort of miracles happening to others. They consider these deeds by the GOD as a mere coincidence and move on.

To remove those illusions and myths within us, to bridge that gap in our thoughts and finally to create a connection with the supreme power is, where the GURU’s role comes into picture.

I was not a firm believer of GOD, until I met SWAMI JI. His wonderful preachings, epic stories and talks about goodness and kindness can only be heard in his DARBAAR. His love towards Keertans and Bhajans, his enticing and amicable smile and the peaceful ambience in his DARBAAR, is no less than a DIVINE HOME. The unconventional love, support and guidance showered upon us is indefinable.

It would not be an exaggeration if I say that my life has changed and now I am a firm theist. I don’t want to miss the opportunity of saying that miracles do happen and can happen to anybody, who has firm belief and faith, follow what your GURU says and ultimately follow the philosophy of ‘BE GOOD’ and ‘DO GOOD’.

Do you want to know what miracles happened to me? I have seen myself becoming a better me with each day passing. And that is what I ultimately seek.

When God is pleased, He comes in contact with us in the form of Sadguru. We (me and my family), are a few of those blessed ones to find God in the form of a Guru.

Swamy ji, as our Guru’s devotees call Him with great love & respect, is one of those great saints, who selflessly devoted His life to the spiritual upliftment of those, who really want to know about God. He never performs miracles to attract people, but He does miracles that touch the hearts of His devotees and cure ailments of any kind.

Our family was first introduced to Ajai Swamy ji by one of our family friends. Instantly, we realized that we’ve found our Guru. That moment was a turning point in our lives, although we were unaware of it at that time! Over two decades have passed since then; day by day, it has changed our lives for the better.

Though we belong to South India, we had been in Delhi over three decades. After a decade or so, we had the divine opportunity of meeting Swamy ji. At that time myself, my husband and our 3 children – Son and twin daughters, were all alone in Delhi with little worldly knowledge and without any elderly support. We were a confused and worried about life in north India, where the customs, language, traditions, weather, etc. are very much different. But, after we met our Guru ji, slowly one after the other, all our fears, troubles and worries vanished unnoticed. We found a new zeal and strength to lead a life full of energy. Happy and content smiles have become our permanent assets.

Our son was around 8 years and daughters around 4 – 5 years, when we first met Swamy ji. He is full of love and affection towards our children. We used to sing devotional Bhajans, which He likes very much. He guided us in every aspect of our lives. He used to assure us that He will always take full care of our family and see that nothing untoward happens in our lives. How can we express our gratitude to Him!

Once, we (five) were travelling in an auto-rickshaw on the busy Ring road, when suddenly, the driver informed us that the breaks have failed. We were so terrified that we did not know what to do. But, miraculously, the auto rickshaw stopped, as the driver somehow managed to put the vehicle behind a standing bus in a Bus stop. Not a scratch to any of us, including the driver!! Nothing, but Guru’s KRIPA saved us from what could have been a great mishap.

On another occasion, I was away from Delhi to attend a function in Hyderabad. My husband and son were in Delhi. At that time, a theft took place in our house. Gold and silver articles worth few lakhs were taken in that heist! Immediately, I rang up Swamy ji to inform about this incidence. After a moment of silence, He told me ‘not to worry at all as prosperity worth more than this loss is on its way to us’. In a week’s time, my son got a new job with a quantum jump in his salary. How could this be possible, but for Swamy ji’s blessings !!

At the time of my son’s marriage, my only brother-in-law (my husband’s younger brother) was seriously ill. We were very much worried about the situation and sought the blessings of Swamy ji. He assured us that He will take care of everything and made us to proceed with the marriage arrangements. Not only the marriage function went on well, but also the event on the 16th day of the marriage (according to the south Indian custom) was performed uninterruptedly. Unfortunately, my brother-in-law passed away the next day, i.e., on 17th day after the marriage. How was it possible and whose divine hands were on us??

Due to Swamy ji’s blessings, our three children are happily married and settled in life. Now, after my husband’s retirement, we are back to Hyderabad to join our children. Although we miss Swamy ji’s physical presence, we took this move as it was His order and follow it whole-heartedly. But, at every opportune time, we make it a point to visit Delhi and seek His blessings.

Now, with our hearts filled with Guru’s BHAKTI, we are happily and contentedly proceeding on the path of spiritualism.
