Swamiji’s Sandesh…

“Follow the right path and you will reach your destination. Only the right path… the right direction will lead you to your destination.’
“Agar raasta sahi hai , toh manzil apne aap mil jaati hai …”

Swamiji says …

“Insaan agar theek raah par chal raha hai, toh woh beshak apni manzil pe pahunchega … agar galat raaste pe chal raha hai, toh usey uski manzil kaisey milegi?”

“Each one of us has gone through that wonderful , innocent stage in our childhood – when as toddlers we would run, simply run – without any clarity about the direction that we were taking – as we would be in a tearing hurry to find our parents and be in their arms – but on looking at the person’s face and realizing that his was not the face of our dearly loved parent , we would burst into tears, change our direction, and trot off again – looking attentively , simultaneously , at the faces of those around us , and on recognizing our parents , fling ourselves in their warm, familiar arms.”

“The path that we choose to walk on , during our journey of life , plays an extremely significant, pivotal role in moulding us and making us – what we ‘will ‘ to become in our personal , professional and spiritual life. It is one of these very paths that we opt for – whether broken down or paved, quiet or bustling with activity – that make us who we are, shape our future and destiny , as only they beckon us, guide us and usher us towards our ‘manzil’ – our destination.”

“We would be fooling ourselves if we expect the journey of life to be a smooth sail. It is simply not possible for the path to our destination to be a straight one. We will err, in all likelihood, and traverse down a wrong road – but we can most certainly retract our steps , the moment we feel that we could either get lost on that path or fall headlong into a bottomless pit. At the same time many a storm could await us on the ‘right’ road taken by us , but we must continue undettered, sure and positive that this road will take us to the light emanating from the lighthouse in the distance – our final destination.”

“The onus lies solely on us for choosing a path that will open new avenues , opportunities and possibilities for us. A sensible, responsible and mature approach goes a long way in making us opt for the path – suitable and best for us. We must be accountable for our actions and decisions. We cannot pass the buck to anyone else for our inadequacies , the incompetent manner in which we mismanage our life , at times. No blame game will do.”

” We love latching on to the lamest excuse – ‘The time was not right!’ ‘Hum samay ko dosh kyun de rahey hain?’ ‘ I didn’t get adequate time! ‘ – we complain further. Do we really expect time to wait for us ? Why didn’t we utilize all that time that was available to us? ‘Samay jo gaya woh wapas thode hi aata hai! ” We while away time merrily – knowingly, indulging in what is not right for us, wasting our lives, opting for the path of self destruction and then hold everything and everyone responsible for our sorry state and misfortune of not getting anywhere close to achieving anything in life. Is it right for us to accuse ‘Time’ of playing spoilt sport with our life? Is it that guilty ‘Time’ again, or ‘lack of it ‘ that blinds our vision to such an extent that we conveniently lose sight , both , of the path and the destination that is best suited for us ? “

” ‘Man mein agar vichaar galat hai , raah agar galat hai , toh manzil kahaan se milegi ? ‘ A corrupt, vitiated mind will only encourage impure, vicious, dark thoughts to mushroom within us and we will resort to every trick in the book to take a short cut , a U – turn from the path on which we had whimsically taken off , without a clue about our destination. Can a mind cluttered with such draining, negative thoughts enable us to see the path that might lead us somewhere , or , allow us to even dimly focus on a particular destination that we should reach in this lifetime? The path – most rewarding and beneficial , is crystal clear only to a pure, happy, healthy, motivated mind , as it is geared up with a well defined route map for its final destination.”

“Insaan agar ‘nek raaste ‘ par chal raha hai toh usay uski manzil zaroor milegi!” Why do we entertain any uncertainty , hesitation and procrastinate on walking the ‘Right Path’ of sound values and noble principles ? Not many people have the courage, the inclination to take even tentative steps on the ‘Right Path’. This path that is less trodden , also needs and awaits – patiently and longingly – for at least a few people to step on it , and is delighted that ‘ you ‘ are one of the few , who is headed in the right direction – towards the ‘ Destination of Self Realization ‘ – freedom from the bondage of the cycle of life and death. As it is , a spiritual journey does not require a man made road , all it needs is a willing heart.”
