Swamiji reminds us – Never question, ridicule or judge the devotion or love of a person for God by his simple, humble and unassuming demeanour.
It is possible that your inflated ego, powerful position and wealth could make you snigger at a simple looking person as you are unaware of the countless sacrifices that he has made for the welfare of others and walked with faith on the path of truthfulness and integrity.
Do not throw caution to the wind and make derogatory remarks about him as those very words will come to haunt you one day. Remember, you will unfailingly bear the consequences of the words said by you. Think before you mock others!
The person receiving your bitter, harsh words might never retaliate verbally as he is a good person, but the All Knowing, who is listening to you every moment, will, in His own unfathomable manner, make you realize, regret and pay for your mis-deeds.
Thus, always be careful of what you say!

May this festival of lights illuminate each one of you with positivity, optimism, hope and happiness. As you light ‘diyas’ at your home today, allow their light to dispel the darkness of negativity, pessimism, fear and frustration that resides within you. Identify with the light of the lamps.
