Swamiji’s Sandesh – “DON’T LET GREED FOR MONEY BLIND YOU.”

Swamiji warns us of the bottomless crevice into which we can fall, headlong, if we allow greed for materialism to consume us. Insatiable desire for money, wealth and affluence can  blind u , unless and until we check ourselves.

Swamiji says“You must remember that when animals realise that their stomachs are full, they do not hunt further but walk away from the carcass, and never hurt the other animals devouring it. Unfortunately, it is man alone who is unable to draw a line between need and greed and resist the temptation of wanting more. The glitter and sparkle of money makes him crave, pine and long for more constantly.”

You are living a life of delusion if you feel that you can please God with the abundant possessions that you have amassed in this lifetime. Remember, you need money to live a comfortable and secure life but at the same time it is also the root cause of all evil. Utilise this precious lifetime in devoting some time to God, and walk on the path of hard, honest labour.

Greed for money is an evil and it is not good for you. Learn to resist the vile bait of corruption by saying – ‘No. No more. I am content with what I have.’ You can certainly do it if you will to do so.

My blessings to each one of you.

  1. Dear Swamiji.
Thank you for your kind blessings, for your presence and support only gives the confidence and contentment that one is able to walk through this world with dispassion.
As your disciple I know that as long as you are with me I have no fear of unknown. No fear of tomorrow. Then why should I allow greed to creep in me?
    No. I won’t.

Pls be with me and my family, forever.
    This lifetime and ever after.
    Love you so much.
    Shiben

    आप हमेशा कहते हैं कि सभी की नेक इछाएँ पूरी हों

  9. Thank you Swamiji for enlightening all of us with such profound words and thoughts. We truly understand that greed of money is the biggest obstacle in self realisation and flowing like a river in this beautiful journey of life.

  10. Very apt message in the present day situation, where people are busy making money, without knowing what are their needs and how to be happy or content with their earnings. Thanks to Swamyji’s blessings and preachings, I am really satisfied with our earnings and content with what we have. There is no room for greed in my life.
    🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

  11. This week’s divine preaching by Swamiji is a timely one. Today everyone is after accumulating wealth, no matter what path they choose. If you see the history, how many of great kings and greatest worriers accumulated wealth in their lifetime, but alas! couldn’t take a penny with them when they breath their last!! In Ramayana, the king of Lanka, Ravan had wealth even more than Kubera, the wealth God. What happened to Ravana is known to all.
Once Swamiji said,. If you have more than your needs, then give it to the needy. Swamiji wants his devotees to be extra kind to poor, and help them with a generous heart. These small acts of charity purifies one’s soul and prompts them to grow further in spiritual life. It is our duty as devotees of Swamiji, to spread His teachings to as many people as possible.
Swamiji’s grace is upon all of us and, this is his way of purifying us from within.

  12. So true. Thank you Swamiji for giving us such invaluable teachings. 😄🙏
As quoted by Mahatma Gandhi ”Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s needs, but not every man’s greed.”

  13. गुरु जी का कहना बिल्कुल सत्य है ।आज पैसा ही सब कुछ नहीं है।रिश्ते भी जरूरी हैं।

  14. What a beautiful message. It means a world to me. It’s a eyeopener n mind opener. Thanks to his teachings n preachings.
