“One festival in particular that has been celebrated , down the ages , with fervour and reverence is Diwali. ‘Hindu parampara ke mutaabik , ‘Diwali’ ke parv pe , Laxmiji aur Ganeshji ki ‘bhavnapurna puja , aradhana ‘ karni chahiye.

“All of the simple rituals of Diwali have a significance and a story behind them. Homes are illuminated with lights, and firecrackers fill the skies as an expression of respect to the heavens for the attainment of health, wealth, knowledge, peace, and prosperity.
You involve yourself earnestly , whole – heartedly and leave no stone unturned in ensuring that your home is ready to celebrate the auspicious return of God – Lord Rama to Ayodhya – after an exile of fourteen years.You light ‘diyas’ in every nook and corner of your house to illuminate the moonless, dark night of ‘amavasya’ on which Diwali falls – to herald the return of Lord Rama , and at the same time , welcome the Goddess of Wealth and Fortune , alongwith Lord Ganesh – The Remover of Obstacles from your life. ‘ Tum Bhagwaan Ram , Laxmi ma aur Ganeshji ka naman kartey ho aur unse prarthana kar tey ho ki woh tumharein ghar mein aaein.” You need the Grace of Goddess Laxmi to shower Her blessings on you and make you prosperous and wealthy. Do you really think that He needs to be guided to you ? In fact , it should be the other way round ! You must pause and think whether it would be possible for you to follow the same path that is highlighted by the lit up wicks of the ‘diyas’ – and enable you to walk on the Right Path of Spirituality and True Knowledge. Try it ! You will succeed ! Celebrate the true essence of Diwali.”
