Swamiji says…

MAKE PEACE WITH A GOOD, GENUINE PERSON EVEN IF HE IS IN THE WRONG

Swamiji draws our attention to the importance of winning over and befriending a good individual once again, who has drifted away from us, either due to a misunderstanding or a cause that has angered or displeased him.

Swamiji says… We meet different kinds of people during our journey of life. We bracket them in various categories… good, bad and not so bad, knowing very well that we shouldn’t be doing so. We all have the propensity to judge and discern the smallest speck in the other person’s eye, forgetting all the time that we have a log in our vision and will be judged by others at some point in time.

The time that we spend with each individual enables us to know the true value of each one of them and thus we should remember to leave no stone unturned in pacifying and soothing the ruffled feathers of a person… friend or relative… who we know is ‘genuinely good’… possesses all the traits that a noble soul should have… has always tread the Right path… never spoken the untruth… is the epitome of humility and goodness… but is angry with you. Can you afford to lose the company and friendship of a person who is blessed with such qualities ? A rare gem is hard to find in today’s day and age.

Win him over at any cost even if your ego orders you not to do so !

SWAMIJI’S SANDESH – NEVER FORGET THE GOOD DONE FOR YOU BY OTHERS

Swamiji says… You must always remember the gesture of goodwill bestowed upon you by another person during times of duress and distress that are faced by you. Such acts of kindness must remain etched in your memory for ever.

A little help from any quarter… like a hand extended to help you, reaching out to do good for you during your state of helplessness and despair, especially when you had lost all hope and were engulfed in a morass of darkness appears to be a beacon of divine light and divine help.

You must not forget this humane act of generosity and magnanimity and must remain grateful and indebted to that individual for ever as that gesture had prevented the world from crashing down on you.

The lesson of helping others and standing like a pillar of support by them, that you draw from such a benevolent act, should never be forgotten by you and, in a similar manner you should be a reservoir of solid support and selfless service to those who warrant help and succour.

THE LESSON OF HELPING & SUPPORT

SWAMIJI’S SANDESH –

AN INDIVIDUAL WITH ‘SPECIAL ABILITIES’ CAN ACHIEVE WONDERS

Swamiji reminds us of the importance of urgently changing the deep-rooted, pathetic fallacy that most of us bear towards the handicapped and physically challenged. The false, wrong opinion that has been formed about them that they are weak, helpless and dependent on others in every possible way does not hold much merit.

Swamiji laments that people mostly look at handicapped people with disdain and disrespect as they take it for granted that they are incapable of working in a skilful and able manner. The air of superiority and superficial sympathy that they exude for them wrenches their soul, despite it, they carry on with their lives with quiet dignity, grace and determination.

A physically challenged individual too has the ability to attain self-realisation when he lives a disciplined life, remains steadfast to the principles of righteousness and honesty, is unmindful of the barbs that are hurled at him and remains undettered by the obtacles that this cruel world lays down in his path. His inner strength to stand firm against all odds makes up for the physical strength that he lacks.

Do not under-estimate the indomitable will and firm resolve that God has blessed them with, which enables them to be better than the best.

Swamiji’s Sandesh – “DON’T LET GREED FOR MONEY BLIND YOU.”

Swamiji warns us of the bottomless crevice into which we can fall, headlong, if we allow greed for materialism to consume us. Insatiable desire for money, wealth and affluence can  blind u , unless and until we check ourselves.

Swamiji says“You must remember that when animals realise that their stomachs are full, they do not hunt further but walk away from the carcass, and never hurt the other animals devouring it. Unfortunately, it is man alone who is unable to draw a line between need and greed and resist the temptation of wanting more. The glitter and sparkle of money makes him crave, pine and long for more constantly.”

You are living a life of delusion if you feel that you can please God with the abundant possessions that you have amassed in this lifetime. Remember, you need money to live a comfortable and secure life but at the same time it is also the root cause of all evil. Utilise this precious lifetime in devoting some time to God, and walk on the path of hard, honest labour.

Greed for money is an evil and it is not good for you. Learn to resist the vile bait of corruption by saying – ‘No. No more. I am content with what I have.’ You can certainly do it if you will to do so.

My blessings to each one of you.
